There is no escaping LED lighting these days as it’s absolutely everywhere you look. In my work area I can see three things that contain LED lights. There is a red LED light on my cell phone, there is a Blue LED light on my laptop and on a radio. Our homes are crammed with LED lights but most of us don’t even realize it. LED bulbs use 80% less power than most other kinds of bulbs so that makes them very economical to run for long periods. LED bulbs can have many different light outputs and when attached to a processor can produce unique lighting and flash patterns. LED lights come on to full brightness 100 times faster than any other lighting. We all have the gripe of the energy saving bulbs we have in our homes not coming to full brightness for 15 seconds or more!

Emergency responders have embraced LED lighting in a big way and it is fitted across a range of vehicles from police cruisers to huge fire trucks. In many of the lightbars on vehicles you will find white, red and Blue LED light, as these are the most common colors for emergency vehicles of all kinds. LED lighting is eco friendly, as the bulbs contain no mercury or pollutants that can get into the environment. Emergency response vehicles need many different things depending what service they are from but one thing they all need is lighting to act as warning and to help them pass safely through traffic.
