Think Progress is once again supporting their allies in Iran. They attack John Bolton for speculating that Israel will strike Iran before Bush leaves office. Whether this is true or not is irrelevant, Think Progress supports the Ayatollah regime in Iran and attacks anyone that criticizes it.

Salon.com’s criticism of FOXNews calling Michelle Obama Barack’s “baby mama” is absurd and hypocritical, so, naturally, Think Progress is parroting them:
Yesterday, Salon’s Alex Koppleman highlighted a Fox News chyron referring to Sen. Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle, as “Obama’s Baby Mama,” a term that the Urban Dictionary defines as “the mother of your child(ren), whom you did not marry and with whom you are not currently involved.” After Koppleman pointed out the chyron, ABC’s Jake Tapper remarked that the term’s use was “just straight-up racist.”
The term simply means that she is the mother of his children, there is nothing racist or insulting about it. In fact, Ms. Obama has referred to Barack as her “baby’s daddy.”
Does that mean Michelle Obama is racist? No. But the Left is determined to define this term as racially loaded.
And, of course, the goons at Think Progress are trying to paint this as a case of racism against the Obamas, just as bloggers at Salon.com have tried to do.
Pathetic.

Bloggers at Think Progress pride themselves on firmly stating their creed and vigorously arguing the issues that matter most. Readers see in the blog’s sidebar the issues that Think Progress is “fighting for,” to name two “Social and Economic Justice, and a Secure America.”
Previously, on the issue of immigration, Think Progress has come down hard on any Republican who they perceive to be disingenuous, saying of John McCain:
Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) latest effort to have it both ways on immigration is illustrated in a new English narrated Spanish-language ad. In the ad, McCain touts “pro-innovation immigration policies” in English (a move to seemingly appease the right wing base), but the Spanish text that appears simultaneous to that declaration trumpets “Immigration Policy Innovation,” a term that makes it sound like he supports comprehensive immigration reform.
A simple choice in translation preference becomes hypocrisy, inconsistence, or misinformation as spun by Think Progress.

Today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) launched a Spanish-language campaign website, greeting voters with, “Bienvenido! Estamos Unidos con McCain” (Welcome! We are united with McCain)
It seems one can not reach out to Spanish-speaking voters if one believes that English should be the national language, according to the convoluted logic of Think Progress, that is.
One would think that Think Progress would stick up for anyone working to promote realistic solutions for the American immigration problem, especially when he or she is in front of an audience comprised of people most of whom disagree with the proposed leniency. After all, “Social and Economic Justice” and a “Secure America” are official Think Progress issues. Given the left leaning stories one usually sees on the blog, I was surprised to find Think Progress using a delayed applause for President Bush’s name from far-right wing, anti-immigration South Carolina Republicans, when Sen. Lindsey Graham was defending his views against the more conservative Buddy Witherspoon:
Witherspoon, who said he faces an “uphill battle” against the incumbent, focused on his signature issue, fighting illegal immigration.
“They’re stealing across the border all the time” bringing crime, drugs and gangs, he said, calling for scrapping the I-9 form in favor of an electronic verification system that employers could use to screen out illegals from hiring, making English the nation’s “standard language” and replacing the income tax with a sales tax.
The latter, Witherspoon said, would cover “those who don’t pay taxes now, illegal aliens, drug dealers.”
Graham used his remarks to embrace President Bush, just hours before he was to meet Bush at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and accompany him to Furman University for a presidential commencement address that has divided the campus.
At his first mention of Bush’s visit, Graham paused, waiting for applause. When it didn’t come, it took a slight nod from Graham to prompt a round of applause.
Knowing the context of the delayed applause is something the casual Think Progress reader will not enjoy, for the blog editors have carefully and craftily selected a quote from the original article in which the issue at hand is not mentioned at all.
Instead of taking a stand for “social justice,” Think Progress reverts to a childish telling of half-truths in a sorry and pathetic attempt to embarrass the President of the United States. “Blaming Bush,” it seems, takes priority over any of the issues listed in the sidebar, which makes one wonder where Think Progress stands on immigration. The answer is all too clear: where ever it best suits their ulterior agenda.
