Think progress is at it again. They are now smearing Rudy Giuliani for condemning Barack Obama for viewing Islamic aggression as a criminal issue and not war. Think Progress then uses Rudy comments about the 93 WTC bombings and his praise for the criminal prosecution of the terrorists.

As usual Think Progress doesn’t take things into context. Rudy made these comments in 94. It was a different era and only a few people realized that Islamic Imperialism was once again on the march. Even Rudy didn’t realize the full extent of what was happening. His praise for the legal process has to be taken in context of the time period. But it doesn’t matter to Think Progress, they just want to attack and smear.
The irony is that Think Progress in their own post show Rudy’s Post 9/11 attitude about Islamo-Fascism. Rudy said this:
“The reality is that I think most experts on terrorism who are non-partisan would tell you that that was a terrible mistake in not recognizing the full dimension of what we were involved with.”
Think Progress is caught in a blatant lie/smear. You can’t use comments from the 90’s about terror, when most people didn’t realize it was war, to the mindset after 9/11. Rudy here is admitting his old views were wrong. That’s honestly, unlike Think Progress which lies and smears again.
